A portion of the "Weathered" photograph was turned into a repeat pattern. Then a simplified printout was sewn in felt and twill, cut out, colored with marker, scanned, digitally colored and put back into repeat (with lakes). I enjoy the alternation between phyical and digital states -- another form of breaking down and building up. Gondwana is the name given to an ancient supercontinent.
