Toile design using landmarks from Stratford, CT and elements of the "Mighty Oak", part of the town crest in honor of a link to the CT Charter Oak. Blue as another nod to the town crest. Judson House was built in 1750 and is now operated as a museum by the Stratford Historical Society. Putney Chapel was built in 1834 by and for the people of the north end of town. The train station was built in 1848 and painted by Edward Lamson Henry in 1869. The theater/thearte, part of a "Sister Cities" movement, was wildly popular in the late fifties and throughout the sixties. Katharine Hepburn performed there in 1957 and 1960. The library was designed by William H. Miller and was dedicated in January 1896. Finally, the Stratford Point lighthouse, established in 1822, continues to assist with point-no-point navigation in Long Island Sound (it was automated by the Coast Guard in 1970.)
