This Triple Irish Chain cheater quilt features designs from the BYF3 colorway of my Bull's Eye

There are several other versions of a Triple Irish Chain design in this collection. If you would like it resized to fit a particular fabric, just ask. Perhaps you would even enjoy a miniature version for a doll quilt or a blouse. The Irish Chain pattern is believed to have originated in the early 1800's. However, surprise! In Ireland it is called the American Chain pattern! There is some controversy as to its exact origins. All the piecing has been done for you, but you can still use the open spaces in this design to show off your quilting or applique skillsl! According to quilt historian Barbara Brackman, the earliest versions of the Irish Chain quilt appeared in the early 1800's. It is also fascinating to note that in Ireland, this design is known as the American Chain pattern!
