Watercolor and Digital
This series of simple watercolor doorways represents the Modernism Door Tours of Palm Springs! A great way to add a simple, airy feel to a more modern vibe. Originally I was collaborating with one of the companies organizing the 2018 Palm Springs Door Tour for the modernism show this year. The doors were going to be part of an illustrated map, but the project fell through early on due to time constraints. I loved the idea though, so I completed the door illustrations and turned them into a textile! The original design was done on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper with watercolor before being scanned and assembled digitally. I thought this would be a great textile for a sundress or pillow set! Whether it's for a dress, curtains, pillow cases, etc., this doorway pattern will bring a whimsical, cute and chic feel to whatever you lovely seamstresses (or seamstresirs) out there choose to sew with it :) Want a custom fabric design?
