About the Design

My entry for the “Gingerbread” Challenge on Spoonflower, it arises from my oil painting of the same

name, "Baking Up Memories." © Nancy Lee Moran

The repeat size is 21 wide x 16 inches. Americana Heritage colors and fine details! The wallpaper repeat is about 12 x 9 inches, half-brick pattern. The art border has stars, scattered flour, and flour-fingerprints. The art includes vintage tin cans of ginger and of jam, a cinnamon stick, and a child-size wooden rolling pin. The art also has bittersweet berries. Bittersweet is a vine that climbs in forests and bears clusters of bright-orange pods. All the items in this scene came from my own photo references. To make this design on Photoshop, in November 2017 I made a background repeat from parts of my oil painting, a design from the roof-frosting lattice and the Americana stars. It has colors of butternut and honey-gold, plus zesty burnt orange, also hints of chestnut, bronze, topaz, and subtle blue. Designs by Nancy Lee Moran are available for licensing. Some designs are also available in other scales or colors on request. I hope you will show me the projects you create with my fabrics. It would be joy to see them.
