Produced from 1960 to 1963 in Studebaker's facilities at South Bend Indiana, the Champ truck, which shared a cab and look with the compact Lark, was one of the bright spots in the waning years of the Studebaker Corporation when it first came out. But declining sales in 1961-63, and the closure of the US plant in December 1963, doomed the vehicle to a short life span. Though the final Champ trucks made were 1964 models, no '64's were actually made during their model year. (file QQ108-ch, #6029158)
