Once while snorkeling in St. John, we came across a cove that had beautiful orange starfish scattered across the ocean floor as far as the eye could see. It seemed so magical to me, like a starry sky on the bottom of the ocean. So when I heard the theme Cosmic Voyage, my mind went to combining a traditional voyage on the sea with celestial imagery. My design features a moon boat sailing on a sea of stars being poured from a jar. It’s a fanciful world where starfish grow on bushes and the sun is married to the sea.
