Made up of tiny knots, this pattern is based on a piece of lace tatting hand made by my dear friend, Maria. It is part of my larger Greek style collection which pays homage to my heritage, Grecian architecture, symbols of village life and the traditions that get passed down by Greek women from generation to generation. Maria is from the same island in Greece my Grandfather was from, Kythira. Maria, her mother and her sister have made many pieces of beautiful work such as embroidered linens and doileys and other lace items. Many of which were used at village weddings and in as gifts for the home. We were honoured to be given this example as an heirloom gift. Navy Blue, Blush Pink, Terracotta Pink and Sea Green colourways are available for this design. Summer in Greece is calling!
