In ancient Greek mythology, Amphitrite was the goddess of the sea, the queen of the sea, and the wife of Poseidon. Amphitrite was a daughter of Nereus and Doris (and thus a Nereid). Others called her the personification of the sea itself (saltwater). I found she is a friendly nymph of the sea, and therefore she was an inspiration for this design that was originally created in blue tones to beautify the bathroom or a kitchen.
