Hark, what's the noise out by the porch door? Dear Granny, there's mummers, there's twenty or more. So goes the much loved Mummers Song by Newfoundland musicians Simani. Mummering is a Christmas tradition in Newfoundland and Labrador where people disguise themselves and go door to door hoping to be invited in where a song, dance or recitation is rewarded with "A Bit of Christmas". Twenty would be more than enough but we filled the entire yard with ninety or more uniquely attired and talented mummers. The full yard repeats if you needs any more but mind the planchen will hold if ye do. We've even hidden a few Jam Jams in there to feed the crowd in case you run out of your own.
