This design was inspired by some very happy memories. There is an old Golden Wattle tree just inside the entrance to the one of the big conservatories at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania (I'm assuming the tree is still there). Entering in the middle of winter would cause the heaters to kick on which in turn would blow the little golden flowers down. I remember standing there laughing as I was showered with gold (on a cold and dark winter's day). Plus I really like saying 'wattle'!
