learning, from books and videos. Brown & orchid.
Card-weaving, also called tablet-weaving, is done with cards with 4 holes in them (usually) instead of a loom. It is an ancient technique, usually used to make narrow bands, belts or trim or headbands. They can be very delicate silk or very sturdy cotton or linen or wool. ___I learned about it almost by accident, on the way to learning about an even more ancient type of weaving, (on a warp-weighted loom). And I fell in love with this technique, and its endless possibilities for designs. ___You can see the threads in the original view. It is set at about the actual size. The other version has plain seam allowances between rows of weaving, in case you want to use it as trim. https://www.spoonflower.com/designs/7725226-crop2-fabric-stripe-w-seam-allowances-brown-orchid-scan-cardwv7-front-280-by-mina
