not a flower; it's a tree.
I’m the artist, I’m allowed to make these decisions! It's my world, there are no mistakes, just happy accidents. Here's where it all began: During a long, boring road trip, I started looking at the tail lights of the cars around us, and imagining what else they could be. The more I looked at them, the more they looked like flower petals. Since then I've become sort of obsessed with photographing taillights, headlights, brake lights, hubcaps, door handles, and anything else on cars that might possibly be turned into flowers. They're being made into a series of pictures made with digital photo manipulation and good old-fashioned, scissors-and-glue photo collage. Please note: This is the smallest of three versions of this pattern, made to work in tandem with the two larger sizes or on its own.
