The winner of our latest contest is Dennis Bennett, or DennistheBadger, the same artist who won the baby carrier design contest we sponsored last year with Nap Inc. It turns out that since his last win, DennistheBadger, who lives in Germany, has become DennistheDoctor, having finished medical school. It must be nice to know that if the medical career falls through, he's got a future in fabric design. Congratulations, Dennis! These palette-restricted contests always seem to produce a terrific bunch of entries. Thanks to all who participated. Read more about Palette-Restricted Botanical Print.
Once a year we turn the tables and put the Spoonflower team to the test by asking them to come up with some designs for our weekly design challenge (which is easier for some than others, as you might imagine). We'll share the special details about this contest on the blog. Voting for the staff contest will open on March 13th, 2014.
Fabric designs for this week's contest should be inspired by scenes from a school science fair. Previews will be sized as quarter yards (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, March 18th, 2014.
April showers bring May flowers. And what do you need to stay dry? A good pair of rain boots. Create a design that celebrates the trusty rubber boot. Previews will be sized as quarter yards (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, March 25th, 2014.
Spoonflower cofounder Stephen Fraser is predicting that whales are going to be huge in 2014. All designs submitted must use a restricted palette (visible here) and previews will be shown at (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is April 1st, 2014.
Instructions and rules for our weekly fabric design contests appear on our upcoming contests page .
