Upcoming contests

Nutcracker

Tchaikovsky's most famous ballet is overdue for its own fabric contest. Create a fabric inspired by The Nutcracker for this week's challenge, keeping in mind that we will NOT be sending out an email or switching over the contest on December 25th, so this one will be up for two weeks. Entries will be previewed at the fat quarter size (21" x 18"). The deadline for entry is Tuesday, December 16th, 2014. Voting will open on December 18th, and will close on December 30th. We'll announce the winner on December 31st, just in time for the New Year!

Math

Math and art are too often depicted as opposite ends of a spectrum. The art of creating seamless repeats is especially well suited for the numerate among us. This week's challenge is to design a fabric celebrating mathematics. Entries will be previewed at the fat quarter size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, December 30th. Voting will open on Wednesday, December 31st.

Penguins

Celebrate our feathered friends from the Southern Hemisphere with penguin-inspired fabric! Entries will be previewed at the fat quarter size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, January 6th, 2015. Voting will open on Thursday, January 8th.

Groundhogs

While Punxsutawney Phil is preparing for his moment in the sun (or shadow), we're having our own groundhog day with this week's Design Challenge. These cute, cuddly and oh-so-intuitive critters are sure to make for a fun fabric design. Entries will be previewed at the fat quarter size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, January 20th. Voting will open on Thursday, January 22nd.
