Designer Jo Ruiz of Montreuil, France is our winner this week. Not only is she the second winner in a row from France, but (if my crude interpretation of the most recent post on her blog can be trusted), she first heard about Spoonflower from Nadja, who was last week's winner. Great designers flock together, I suppose. Jo's lovely "Hiding Birds" won the most votes in our tessellation-themed contest, and as a result she has $100 in Spoondollar credit to spend on fabulous fabrics! Ring in the New Year wearing a festive party hat that you made yourself! In this Design Challenge we're asking you to create a cut & sew pattern for a party hat (for kids, adults, or pets!). This week, designers should use hand-lettering to write a New Year's resolution. Additional design elements are welcome, but the design must have text that has a hand-lettered appearance, and describes a resolution. Previews will be shown at the fat quarter fabric size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, December 24th, 2013 (yes, that's Christmas Eve!).
