Books on fabric may not be nearly as much fun to read, but on the other hand they're much easier to pack up and move, and less likely to smell musty. This was an unsually close contest, and the winner is first-timer JeAnna Casper (addilou) with "A Wise Old Bookend." I think the top ten are all begging to become lampshades for libraries. We're celebrating Day of the Dead and All Souls Day with traditional sugar skulls, called calaveras. Previews will be sized as quarter yards (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, October 21st, 2014.
Design a tea towel calendar for 2015 that fits a fat quarter-yard of our Linen-Cotton Canvas fabric. Entries will be previewed at the scale of a fat quarter (27" x 18", this means the preview will be oriented horizontally). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, October 28th, 2014.
We're partnering with UPPERCASE, a magazine for the creative and curious, to bring you this week's contest. Create a monochromatic pattern using varying shades of black, white or grey with calligraphy as a theme. Winner will be profiled in an upcoming issue of UPPERCASE.
