Spoonflower Design Challenge: March 28, 2012

The top ten fabrics from this contest are headed for an exhibit at the Textile Center in Minneapolis, where jurors will select their favorite for a grand prize. The people's choice in our voting was Canadian designer Cynthia Frenette's "Take the Detour Route," but all of the top ten offer terrific spins on the contest theme, which centered on the transformation of an urban neighborhood using selected photos as inspiration. Fabric8: botanical sketchbook

The 2015 Fabric8 Contest theme is Botanical Sketchbook. Grab your sketchbook and take some time to stop and smell--and draw--the flowers! In this year’s Fabric8 Contest, Spoonflower and Moda Fabrics are seeking designs reminiscent of those found in a botanical sketchbook. Whether you celebrate the lush botanicals of the tropical forest of your dream vacation or the dandelions peeking through your sidewalk, show us a page from your book with your entry in this year’s Fabric8 Contest! Please head over to the Fabric8 Contest page for full details: http://www.fabric8contest.com/. 100 semifinalists will be selected by Spoonflower and Moda Fabrics, and our community chooses 8 finalists starting August 27th, 2015. Entries will be previewed using the scale of a fat quarter of fabric (21"x18").
