For black history month I wanted to contribute some art, and worked on the #28daysofblackhairstyles challenge on instagram. I didn't end up doing all the days, but I did a decent amount and had so much fun researching different styles and drawing them. I made my favorites into a textile after I looked through my current library and realized that almost all the hairstyles I had made patterns out of so far were white. Here's to more diversity, and more art celebrating different bodies and forms of beautiful. The original drawings were done with micron pen in my sketchbook, and the checker pattern was added later in photoshop. Want a custom fabric design?
